I had planned to prepare a Council Brief following the June 3 Regular Council Meeting. However, the Town has advised that the meeting recording is unavailable due to technical difficulties.
After contacting Legislative Services, I learned that the Town does not provide meeting transcripts. Draft minutes from the June 3 meeting are expected to be included in the June 17 Council Agenda package, which will be published on June 11.
Rather than speculate or rely on incomplete information, I will wait for the official minutes before preparing a summary of the meeting.
One of the goals of these Council Briefs is to help residents understand what happened at Council, and I believe it is important that those summaries be based on verifiable information.
In the meantime, I’ll continue following upcoming Council, Committee of the Whole, and Intermunicipal discussions and will provide updates as information becomes available.
