Sustainable Life Newsletter — February 2026

Water, Work, and Momentum

This newsletter resumes regular monthly updates from Sustainable Life.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been encouraged to see growing interest in water stewardship and practical sustainability within our community. The Water Season 2026 series has reached readers far beyond the existing Sustainable Life audience, with most views now coming from non-followers. That tells me something important: people are paying attention, and the conversation is expanding.

This kind of awareness builds slowly, but it forms the foundation for meaningful, lasting change.

Water Season 2026 continues

Recent posts have explored how water moves through our system — from river, to reservoir, to treatment, and ultimately into our homes. Understanding this process helps clarify both the strengths and the limits of our infrastructure. Water stewardship begins with understanding where water comes from, how it is managed, and how each household plays a role in its conservation.

This work will continue through the coming months, building a clearer picture of local water resilience and practical solutions available to residents.

Rain Tote preparations underway

With spring approaching, preparations are underway for the next round of rain tote installations. These simple systems capture and store rainwater that would otherwise be lost, providing a reliable supply for trees, gardens, and landscape use during dry periods.

Each tote represents a small but meaningful step toward greater local resilience and reduced strain on municipal water systems.

Repair Café and practical resilience

The Repair Café continues to demonstrate the value of practical skills and shared knowledge. Each repaired item represents materials kept in use, money saved, and skills passed on. These small acts strengthen the fabric of a resilient community.

Repair, reuse, and resourcefulness remain essential parts of building a sustainable future.

Looking ahead

As winter gradually gives way to spring, attention will shift toward practical water conservation, system preparation, and continued research into sustainable local solutions. Each season brings new opportunities to learn, teach, and build together.

Thank you for your continued interest and support.

🌱 Sustainability grows when we share it.
By mentoring, teaching, and supporting one another, we create a stronger, more resilient community for generations to come.
